Spring season self care
Spring is here! Dolly Parton once said "You gotta bloom where you're planted". Be honest when you hear the words "spring cleaning" do you automatically think of cleaning and decluttering your house. So do I. Did you know that you can 'spring clean' your mind.
Lets talk about refresh and resetting for spring.. Are there are habits you have currently that feels heavy? Right now for me is sticking to a routine especially with warmer weather coming. I think personally doing content creation outside will be more energising sitting on a blanket with water or cola feeling the wind. Could you imagine every season is a chance to start fresh..what would be one thing you want to start again? For example every morning I'm going to look at affirmations to start my day with. Positive mindset first thing in the morning will set my mood for the rest of the day. I feel like my mental health is ready for a renewal along with my physical health.
This leads perfectly onto the next section mental and emotional self care in spring. Who finds that seasons have an impact on their mood? I've notice especially the last three years my mood seems relaxed don't know if its anything to do with me having more good health days in spring. It helps that this spring I'm gonna let go the mindset "I can't do this" I need to believe in myself, getting rid of negative vibes and negative emotions.
As the weather is getting warmer and sunnier it's time to think about our physical wellbeing in the spring. Does your body feel good or bad as the weather warms up? Depending on the temperature my body will either feel good or bad especially after an Functional Neurological Disorder. This spring I'm going to go on walks exploring my home city and reconnecting with nature. Not only I will be looking after my physical health but also my mental health. By the summer I would like to walk a distance on holiday without stopping.
Thinking about spring I think of growth and personal development, having a look at what is working well and what needs improving on. I promised myself in January I will start living my life again. I feel like i have been living my life again. Growing as a person and understanding my triggers for an FND episode. By knowing my triggers I am able to prevent the episode going worse than it is. For me it feels like an reward knowing and understanding things more.
Have a magical spring! Heres to warmer weather.
